2. What is the Permanent Resident Visa (Migrant)
validity period? |
As a permanent resident you
are permitted to remain in Australia
indefinitely. This visa also allows you to
travel to and enter Australia for five (5) years
from the date the visa is granted. The expiry of
this visa does not affect your permanent
resident status if you are in Australia.
However, if you wish to continue to travel to
and from Australia as a permanent resident after
the initial visa has expired, you must obtain a
Resident Return Visa (RRV). Your eligibility for
an RRV will depend on the period that you have
resided in Australia.

processed, shall I visit Australia? |
Generally
yes, but you may required to meet the visa
requirements and establish your requirement to
visit Australia.

8. Shall I be granted my migrant visa when I am
in Australia? |
No. If you have launched an off-shore visa, you should be outside
Australia before you could be granted the migrant visa. Hence you must
depart Australian and collect your visa outside Australia and then
enter Australia with the migrant visa.
Onshore visa are normally called Permanent Resident Visa's, may be
collected within Australia, if eligible.

9. Should I have to
enclose my passport with an application? |
Not Necessarily. You can enclose certified copy of the passport and
keep the original with you for other travel commitment.
However an approval of your application you may have to present your
original passport for evidencing the visa.

10. If approved, before how much time I should travel
to Australia? |
Normally you
will be provided with sufficient time to make your first
entry to Australia which would be about 2 to 3 months time
from the date of grant of Visa.
Please note that if you
didn't enter the Australia before the initial
entry date, you would have breached a condition
of your visa and would be under consideration of
canceling of your visa. Being a multiple travel
visa you are permitted to enter and exit
Australia an several occasions as you
need.
